As a Co-Founder, Board President, and Executive Director of Hearts on the Field Foundation, I deeply believe that every athlete deserves a safe way to pursue their dreams. As an athlete myself, the possibility of suffering from sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is a fear I carry. This organization was born not just from an idea, but from a profound need that I have witnessed firsthand in our community.

My mission was ignited by devastating events. I have personally experienced how SCA can be a silent killer that devastates families, and I've seen friends around me endure this trauma too. This heartbreaking reality served as a call to action. It showed me that while we can’t prevent every tragedy, we can be better prepared to save lives when they are at risk. I founded this organization to ensure that no other family suffers from a similar loss.

The mission of Hearts on the Field Foundation is to protect every life through education, promotion of early recognition, increased access to automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and advocacy for comprehensive cardiac programs in the sports community. I am fully committed and honored to lead this initiative to shake the foundations of sudden cardiac arrest and combat it from the roots up.
